I would highly recommend Anza. She has totally motivated me. Observing and guiding me with my posture and techniques (something I've always struggled with). Because it's an intimate environment and I'm getting such amazing one-on-one attention, I feel that I'm completely focused on my breathing, posture, core and achieving the maximum results for myself and for my personal trainer. The exercise sessions are 30 minutes, so I tend to give it 100%. I find I don't think about the time (I’m a clock watcher) as I usually do because I'm engrossed with what I'm doing. The location and scenery are breathtaking. The classes are fun, motivating, challenging and totally worth the investment for my health and wellbeing.
I exercise harder than I would exercise on my own. I've gone to gyms before, spent 2 minutes on a treadmill and left feeling totally defeated and unmotivated. I really feel like I'm working my entire body and it feels like I'm doing the exercises correctly for the first time in my life. I was always too nervous to try out the weights in the gym because of their location in the gym and my lack of confidence to give them ago but under Anza’s guidance and knowledgeable supervision I now have the confidence to use weights correctly and found that I absolutely love weight training which is great for me mentally and physically. I love the challenge of achieving my goals each week and increasing the weight, it’s a real buzz!
My personal trainer is totally focused on me and how I'm doing my exercises. She is extremely motivating, very dedicated and fun to be with. She is knowledgeable and goes the extra mile for you and I feel she listens which is a very important skill for a personal trainer, I think.
The service is beyond my expectations. Superb and warm, welcoming and compassionate. If I am struggling to do an exercise properly, I’m not made to feel incompetent. She explains and demonstrates the way to do it correctly so well that I can get the technique and feel confident on my next go.

I emailed Fit Strong Mums/Anza to ask for HELP after returning from a holiday where I was the heaviest I had ever been!
I took up the 6/7-week program that was offered to me (training 3 times a week and my diet being monitored) and by the end I was delighted by the results. I was lighter on the scales, but the main difference was in my clothing. I could now fit into a dress & pair of trousers that had been 'put away'.
I would encourage anyone who was wanting to make the first move towards getting fit to attend Fit Strong Mums. If they can help me, they can help anyone!
I've already provisionally booked into the next program and believe it or not.... I am now taking up jogging!!

I've been doing strength training with Anza since April 2019 and it's been the best thing I could do for myself, I love it! I've always played sport and loved it, but as I was getting older I wasn't feeling strong and I was becoming prone to injury. I could never walk into a gym and do this, it's too intimidating.
I love that we train in small groups, with friendly women, all with similar goals. Everyone cheers each other on and Anza is a very supportive PT, taking care that we train safely and pushing us to reach our best. She also teaches us to be patient in our progress and to take care of our bodies after training. Training safely has become important to me, I don't ever want to miss a workout! And I don't have time to be injured when I have two kids to wrangle!
There's a good friendly competitive spirit and plenty of dedicated women who return every week which shows how much we all enjoy what Anza offers. I love competing against myself and feel really satisfied after a workout - plus if I turn up feeling ho-hum, I certainly leave feeling much cheerier after lifting some weights and being encouraged by the other ladies smiles and company.
As I get older it benefits my family and shows my kids that mum's are strong too and working out is a good habit to teach them. My body is stronger and I feel like my strength training supports my old injuries and I no longer have the same fear of re-injury when playing sports. I also feel like I've found something I love to replace sport if needed, to keep my body moving. My body has changed - not just on the outside, but on the inside and it encourages me to be healthier in my overall diet.
Fitting in two 45 minute sessions is really doable, and it's amazing the results you get.

In January 2019 I looked at my thighs and thought that the front was now as squishy as the back, I should really do something about that. Now, I hate exercise. Any exercise. But I saw an ad for FSM and I thought 2x 45 minutes a week was possibly doable. I gave it ago and found I could do this. I am now a few kilo’s lighter, a few inches smaller and a lot less squishy. But the biggest and most surprising benefit is feeling good about myself. I didn’t realise how critical my background thoughts were about my body. Now those thoughts are the complete opposite. I think positively about the future, about getting older and staying strong.
Good:
· I no longer go ‘arghhh’ when I have to get up from a crouch
· I can tie my laces without holding my breath
· My 13-year-old daughter sees me looking after myself
· When I see bits of my body I no longer think, “ew, that’s a bit wobbly”. I think that’s a real muscle I can see!!!”
· I know I’m not going to get hurt as Anza is constantly supervising our form. This also means I progress faster than solitary training.
· Having a set day/time means I go, every time. I have joined gyms before and all I have accomplished is to increase their revenue.
· The other girls are awesome. No judgy, judgy.
· You can wear what you like. Everyone here is doing it for the health benefits. No posers here!
· I can keep up with the washing. How does FSM help that?!? I sleep better, I get up earlier and get washing done before work. Most days….
Bad:
· Clothes shopping used to be: 1. Try everything on. 2. Buy the stuff that I feel/look good in. Now almost EVERYTHING looks good, so it has become a dilemma as to what to buy.
· I have had to get new holes put in my belt
· I have learnt that “Just one more” is really “keep doing more until you cry”. Not really – but you do keep going until your muscles stop or you lose form. It’s not hard. Well, not that hard…
Summary: You need FSM in your life.

Most people know what a struggle it is to lose weight, to get up each morning and go to the gym. It is a mental battle. I am a self-proclaimed 2-week wonder. I’d make my mind up that’s it! I’m losing weight and go gung-ho for 2 weeks to the local gym and do every class imaginable then make every excuse imaginable not to go for the rest of the year.
Then I met Anza and I’m happy to say I am no longer a 2-week wonder, I’ve now hit the years mark and each week I go and do my strength training, boxercise and/or bootcamp.
The thing that gets me most is mentally my attitude towards exercise has changed. I need it. I am more focused, happier, relaxed and can face the day after exercising. I look forward to it as it is not only exercise to me, but it is sociable too. I have met such wonderful ladies and we have a good laugh while working out. We are all just looking to be healthier and less stressed. Anza has completely transformed the way I think about exercise. It is for my health and wellbeing.
Her style of personal training is warm and caring while showing you how to have the best form to get the best benefit out of each exercise and best results. She encourages you to do the best you can and achieve your weekly goals.
I would highly recommend Anza if you want an excellent and thorough personal trainer who listens and genuinely cares.

What a relief to finally know what works for weight loss, and what doesn't… and understanding why!
If you follow most diets, you will see results; the key is sticking to it... I've never been successful in that area. It’s always too hard, too time consuming, no life worth living in this manner, being older makes everything more difficult and the list of excuses goes on!

First, Anza got me back into loving exercise and then, this 8-week Body-in-Balance weight loss programme.
Everybody has a unique journey - for me personally doing it as part of group, with expert advice on hand all the time, made the difference! It's still hard to believe that I did it!
I have less tummy in the way when doing burpees, I had to buy new smaller pants, the bloating is gone, and I’ve lost weight and centimetres around my waist.
Never mind the results, the knowledge I gained is something I am going to treasure for the rest of my life.

Thank you! Your program was perfect timing for me, just turned 50, things are changing, and I felt I needed to get myself to a better place… thought it was going to be a real battle, but it wasn’t.
Your programme has made it seem so simple. I feel fantastic, less bloated & more comfortable in my body! It's wonderful to feel that I can continue with the programme without any issues.
As I've said before, it's a realistic programme, one that has enabled me to change what I'm eating without it costing a bomb, and the family is also enjoying the dinner options so that’s a big plus.
